— Ansel Adams
I have always loved to take photographs and have always enjoyed sitting with grandparents or loved ones and going through family albums ever since I can recall. Each photograph freezing time in an instance and holding a story to be told for eternity.
My working life has mostly been in the television and film industry. I have edited Documentaries and Oscar winning films for National Geographic (Free Solo), as well as a variety of programmes and films for Channel 5 and FOX (everything from Pepper Pig to Big Brother and The Walking Dead). I have also been fortunate enough to work for the late director/producer Tony Scott (Top Gun).

There has always been a camera close by as I was growing up. But it was about early 2005 when a professional camera finally arrived in my hands. From that moment on I found myself running around photographing whatever I could. Family members, pets, even flowers and buildings.
I totally fell in love with the art behind each image I captured. Discovering the significance of finding the right lighting as well as the correct pose or position. I love learning new things and photography was a science to me. The ‘Exposure Triangle’, ‘The Rule of Thirds’ and the ‘Inverse Square Law’ all making up the big picture (no pun intended).
After studying everything I could from books and online resources, I realised the value of ‘one to one’ sessions and training courses with world renowned professional photographers. This truly ignited my appetite for the craft. So much so that I try to keep my training UpToDate by attending classes by a variety of instructors a few times each year.

Becoming a professional photographer also meant becoming part of a professional photography body. So, I am thrilled to say I am a dedicated member of the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers), as well as the Guild of Photographers. Both are international recognised, and both constantly push me to produce a high standard of product as well as my principles for the business.
So why should you hire me as your photographer? There are too many reasons to fit here. But let me start with the fact that you will be working with a true professional who genuinely loves the art that he creates. I do not want people to miss out on creating amazing memories in a fun and relaxed way that will become treasured heirlooms and live on forever.

James is friendly, professional and very good at keeping an excitable mother of the bride calm. He also helped with his fantastic sewing skills when a bridesmaids dress needed fixing! His photographs are beautiful and really captured our day in the most amazing way
James made us feel at ease, even my husband who hates having his photo taken .They were all natural and lovely. My son wasn’t in the best mood on the day, but James made him laugh and caught his smiles at just the right moments. The photos are wonderful, something I’m so glad I did.
James was polite, professional and took some amazing photos, as well as some intimate shots during the ceremony whilst remaining unobtrusive. He is very good at making you feel relaxed and at ease in front of the camera.
Fantastic, friendly service. Made the whole family feel at ease. Spectacular photos would highly recommend. Excellent value for money and a lifelong memory created.
An absolute fab photographer: James did our wedding and he is AMAZING at what he does! James is very organised and creative, and pre-plans photo shoots which is so handy on the day. We didn’t need to think about guest being in the pictures as he did all that for us. I have some wonderful pictures which I have framed.
I’ve had a number of fantastic experiences with James, and he has been brilliant each time. They say you should never work with children or animals and James exceeds at both. He has a wonderful ability to put everyone at ease. I would highly recommend him for any form of work, personal or commercial.
Very professional, thorough and helpful. He captured everyone and everything on our big day. And we couldn’t have wished for more. Beautiful photos.
James was brilliant. He got on with his own thing and the photos are brilliant. He was really helpful as I wasn’t sure what to expect from the day. The products he had to offer were so much nicer than what other photographers had. The finished photos are brilliant and I would use him again definitely.
Thank you so much, the photographs are lovely. You made it very relaxing and that is why they have come out so well. Forgotten it was even raining now!
James went the extra mile to make sure everything was covered for our wedding day. James knew exactly what we wanted on the day and just got on with it.
Exceptional quality of service. James was so subtle but we didn’t even notice he was there which made a huge difference, especially to my mum who hates having photos taken. James captured amazing moments that we would never have seen otherwise.
The images came out amazing and I’m so happy with the results, James really knew what he was doing and this made the session even better! I cannot recommend him highly enough.
James was very professional on the day and managed to keep things going to plan. The album and USB are fab and we couldn’t have asked for better.
We got James to photograph our wedding and nothing was too much trouble for him. James took on board all our requirements and our photographs & albums were beautifully presented, thanks.
